New Westminster After School Martial Arts Program
McBride OMAC Taekwondo’s After School Program is an excellent alternative to traditional after-school care. Our NCCP-certified instructors not only encourage a much-needed balance between living a healthy lifestyle but also provide the opportunity to be in a positive environment learning the fundamentals of Taekwondo alongside children their age.
What makes McBride OMAC Taekwondo’s After School Program different?
Our program has been designed to assist parents with the job of giving their children the tools and skills needed to overcome their daily obstacles. Whether it be getting bullied at school, peer pressure from friends, a lack of focus on schoolwork, low self-esteem, or confidence issues: our program aims at self-improvement through the principles of Taekwondo. Every day, your children will become more confident in the skills we teach while having an outlet to which they can utilize their energy. Our instructors emphasize the importance of a healthy mind and body through daily martial art classes and themed leadership activities.
What does the After School Program offer?
We will pick up your children upon the conclusion of their school day and take them to our dojang. They then eat the snacks provided by their parents before commencing their age-specific Taekwondo lessons.
At what age can my child join the After School Program?
Our program is available for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Please note that this program is not a daycare and does not provide any babysitting services. Our program is first and foremost about quality martial arts instruction done through physical fitness and the passing down of philosophical teachings of Taekwondo.
Professional Development Days, Early Dismissals, Spring Break, and Summer Camps are not included in our After School Program.
