About Us
OMAC Taekwondo runs a variety of different martial arts programs for children as young as four years of age, for teens and for adults of all ages. Aside from Taekwondo classes, we offer Muay Thai Kickboxing, Birthday Parties, Summer Camps, Movie Nights, and a fantastic After-School program (McBride location). Students at OMAC Taekwondo have had success in local, national and international competitions in both patterns as well as sparring. We are home to National Champions, and take pride in being the best martial arts school in New Westminster.
Our instructors at OMAC are passionate about teaching our students the fundamentals of martial arts. They are the heart of OMAC and use their years of experience to inspire future black belts.

GRAND MASTER
JUNG KIL SUH
Grand Master Jung Kil Suh has been invovled in Taekwondo for over 60 years. Grand Master Suh was taught by Supreme Grand Master Byung Jik Ro, founder of Song Moo Kwan, one of the original Kwans involved in making the World Taekwondo Federation.
Grand Master Suh started taking Kong Soo Do (old name of Taekwondo) at the age of 13 at Song Moo Kwan in Seoul. He quickly moved up the ranks and became a Black Belt at the age of 16. Eventually, Grand Master Suh became the Head Instructor of the Kong Soo Do dojang. During his high school years at Yang Chung Junior and Senior high school, Grand Master Suh was the captain of the Kong Soo Do team. After graduating from high school, he went to study chemistry at Han Yang University and in the process became part of the Han Yang University Taekwondo Team. During his 2nd year of University, he enlisted into the army. In 1966, he became an instructor of the Korean Air Force Special Troops, a very high distinction. After leaving the army, he became the Head Instructor of the Central Song Moo Kwan School in Seoul. Supreme Grand Master Byung Jik Ro and Dr. Un Yong Kim (President, WTF) recommended Grand Master Suh in becoming a Master Instructor as well as a member of the Korean Presidential Security Services. After a 6-year tenure, in July of 1977, Grand Master Suh decided to come to Canada and try to start a Taekwondo school in Toronto. Grand Master is now retired and his two sons, Master Young Suh (7th dan Kukkiwon) and Master James Suh (6th dan Kukkiwon) teach classes full time at their respective schools in New Westminster, British Columbia.
Grand Master Suh remains active in the political aspect of the WTF Taekwondo Federation of BC as he was once the President himself, and also former President of Taekwondo Canada.
